Cody & Cora Pitt
Pitt Cattle Company was built from the ground up through hard work, persistence, and a true passion for cattle. What started small has grown into a program focused on quality, consistency, and doing things the right way.
Cody’s story started early. At 10 years old, his grandma gifted him a commercial cow with a calf back stipulation. That single cow turned into something much bigger. It sparked a passion that never left, and from that day forward, Cody was all in.
With no shortcuts and no easy path, he began building his herd from scratch – learning through experience and pushing forward in an industry where success is never guaranteed and often hard-earned. In 2013, Cody took the next step and purchased his first registered Simmental cattle, driven by a desire to better understand genetics and continually improve the quality of his program.
By 2016, that dedication paid off when he sold his first set of registered bulls – marking a major milestone in what had already been years of steady, determined progress.
Cody has always had a natural eye for cattle. His ability to evaluate both phenotype and pedigree, paired with a deep interest in genetics, continues to shape the direction of Pitt Cattle Company. It’s a program built with intention – focused on producing functional, high-quality cattle that stand the test of time.
In 2020, his brother, Kyle, and father, Mike, joined the registered program, strengthening the operation and contributing to its continued growth.

Today, Pitt Cattle Company is more than a cattle operation. As a husband and father of two young boys, Cody is focused on building something that lasts – rooted in hard work, agriculture, and a deep respect for the industry he hopes to pass down to the next generation. Alongside his wife, Cora, he is intentional about creating a program their family can be part of everyday -one that teaches their boys the value of responsibility, work ethic, and pride in what they do. It’s not just about raising good cattle, but about raising the next generation in a way of life that’s becoming harder to hold onto. Every decision made today is with the future in mind – building a program his children can grow into, carry forward, and be proud of.
“At its core, Pitt Cattle Company is about progress, perseverance, and pride in the cattle we raise.”
